Entrepreneurial Ecosystem is now a growing research field which aims to explore how Entrepreneurship is nurtured in the world. But as this phenomenon produces interesting economic and micro level contributions, only recent research explores its configurational patterns. But EE remains undertheorized under organizational lenses. This research proposes an EE processual analysis in four low incomes countries in order to identify , mobilizing network theory on 410 actors, archetypal configurations. Using web scraping methods, we collected 38 233 observations, allowing us a multi-case holistic analysis. We detected two types of EEs, Goats and Crocodiles, unveiling a continuity perspective .

The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Research Winter School brings together scholars to discuss academic advancements in the emerging research field of entrepreneurial ecosystems (see e.g. Stam 2015; Wurth et al. 2019; Theodoraki 2024). Early-career scholars, including PhD candidates, are particularly invited to participate and present their work. Previous editions have been held in Utrecht, Casablanca, Paris and […]

This Summer School aims to provide the opportunity for early career researchers and PhD students to discuss, network and collaborate with fellow scholars on entrepreneurial ecosystems. The Summer School takes place after the Winter School organized by Utrecht and the Innodays conference organized in 2022 by Adalia (Morocco), which have involved more than 100 scholars […]
Entrepreneurial ecosystem (EE) research requires a better understanding of its various configurations and processes at its whole scale to open its black box and create new theoretical opportunities. We designed exploratory research to longitudinally observe network behaviors between EE ‘species’ in four territories (3 in Africa, 1 in France) from 2017 to 2021 by observing […]
